人文系列讲座--Tips for Writing a Good Cover Letter

Jim在美国Linfield College除了教授化学之外，还担任写作的授课工作。所以从本周开始，Jim将开始和大家分享如何写好英文文章的秘诀。在Jim' talk(8)中，Jim将和大家交流如何写好一篇cover letter（指在正式文件之前的一封简短的说明信，不仅局限于求职信中，应用范围较广）： 

　　A cover letter introduces you and your resume to potential employers or organizations you seek to join (businesses, non-profits, educational institutions, and others like this). It is the first document an employer sees, so it is often the first impression you will make. We'll discuss several quick, simple ways to write an effective cover letter, and methods you can use to increase your visibility in the pool of job applicants.
