人文系列讲座--USA Election Analysis

　  讲座概要：北京时间11月5日中午时刻，2008年美国大选尘埃落定，民主党候选人奥巴马笑到了最后，当选第56届美国总统。作为第一位出身少数族裔的美国总统，奥巴马将成为一个划时代的标志，大大有利于美国的种族和解，这无论对美国人还是在美国的华裔都是一种社会政治的进步。在Jim'talks(4)中，Dr. Diamond将继续和大家探讨奥巴马获胜原因，以及探讨选举结果对美国与世界其他国家关系的影响，同时在当前金融危机的背景下，美国选出历史上第一位非洲裔总统背后蕴含的意义。

 “we will discuss the outcomes of the USA elections, why Senator Obama won, Senator McCain’s campaign errors, the significance of other races and propositions on the ballot, and the immediate consequences of the election. We shall also discuss implications for relations between the USA and the rest of the world, and what implications regarding the worldwide financial crisis arise from the election of America’s first African American president.”
